Fall Planting Bed Cleanup

 

Our fall cleanup ensures that your planting beds are prepared for the fall and winter season. Not only do we make your planting beds look neat and tidy, we also prepare your plants for the harsh weather ahead so they emerge strong again in the spring.

Yard and Lawn Services

Early fall is an excellent time to treat grass. The cool early fall season is conducive to the care and growth of your lawn. We offer a number of services that will give your grass what it needs during this critical growing season.

 

Aeration

The best time to aerate cool season grass is in the fall when it is growing and can best recover. Aeration relieves compacted soil allowing nutrients and water to flow better to the grasses root system.

Overseeding

Fall is a good time to overseed your grass because the grass seed has a chance to take root and grow hardy without the competition from spring and summer weeds and before extreme cold sets in.

Pre-emergent Fertilizer Application

Pre Emergent herbicides are designed to tackle weeds and crabgrass before they emerge. So a fall application is designed to prevent problems in the spring. However, one application is usually not enough to prevent problems year round. We recommend a year-round fertilizer regimen.

Fall Leaf Removal 

Leaving leaves in your yard can damage the grass and plants underneath. Our preferred method to remove leaves is to mulch them into your grass. When mulched, fallen leaves offer a source of nutrients. We can also collect and remove leaves if desired.

 

Tree Trimming and Removal

If you noticed a damaged or dying tree in your yard don’t want until spring to deal with it. Winter snow and wind can exacerbate existing tree problems. Fallen trees and tree limbs can cause damage to your home, which can be harder to deal with in the cold of winter.
